Fairfax felt like the center of the Milky Way (back in the day)

Some kids liked Zeppelin, some liked Disco
Some wished they lived in San Francisco
Some kids were into the Grateful Dead
Some worshipped Elton, some prayed to Bowie
Earth Wind and Fire were utmost holy
Some needed Yes to feed their heads
Some came from Uni, some came from Pali
Some came from Hami, and some came from the Valley
Everyone was at the Whisky to hear Van Halen play
And there were punks and there were stoners
Leftover glam kids, assorted loners
